Even a violent Pattaya rainstorm couldn‘t keep this young lady from taking an important call from outside her bar off Walking Street recently.

It must have been important, as she was soaked to the skin within seconds of rushing out to take the call.

Of course I have no idea what she was really saying, but it it reminded me of a column of Duncan Stearn's recently, in which he mentioned a girl using a recording of crowing cocks (of the hen kind, I hasten to add) when she was on the phone with her foreigner boyfriends to reassure them that she was up-country when she was, in fact, in Pattaya.
