Cloud Nine with Farang

I'd like to offer board members a long story, Cloud Nine with Farang. It is for those, like me, who have made it up country and become aware of the inevitable love/hate relationship with Pattaya. Life in the villages, real Thai life makes one think momentarily about Pattaya 'What an awful place'. This story take the reader into Isaan and the Thai countryside where all the charm is.

 

Another comment by way of introduction. Pattaya is called many things, Asia's Sin City, The Modern Sodom & Gomorrah. I say this, "Pattaya, Las Vegas with a gamble on sex and love and that's just for the bargirls." This story ventures into the befores and afters of Pattaya: Thai childhood, parents, the first tangle with a Thai boyfriend in the bushes; and then Pattaya's afters: trying out marriage with a Farang, living away from Thailand, the return to village life no longer a provincial. And always big, bad, Pattaya there just out of shot.
