Hotel Review: LK Metropole Executive Summary: Hot garbage for easy mongering Gripes: There's no breakfast buffet now, not even on weekends. It's a choice of one of six egg dishes from a menu. BUT... came with so many sides (fruit plate, bread, salad) that I had to start telling them not to bring more than I could eat. (I hate to see food wasted.) The juice is fine, the coffee from a dispenser is awful. At check-in they gave me a room with a broken lock on a balcony door. They asked if I wanted to wait while it was fixed or change rooms. I wanted to unpack and start mon

Advice on Accomodation for a Digital Nomad
Jeffone posted a topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Pattaya
I have been to Pattaya many times, mostly on holiday. I am looking to start spending a week here and there working out of my hotel by day and enjoying my favorite city in the world by night. To do this I need to have decent bandwidth that is as solid as possible. I need to be on video conferences and connecting to various online services for work all day. It has always been best practice for me to stay in condos because I have my own dedicated internet connection. For that reason I have made VT6 my home away from home. I have good luck with VT6 but an wondering if there is something bett -
My all time favorite hotel in Angeles, Philippines.
2easy2die posted a topic in Hotels Reviews Outside of Thailand
I flel in love with ABC from the moment they gave me a free tequila shot upon check in to sad moment of checking out 2 weeks later. ABC is also a Favorite of the girls. When they find out you are staying there, things get much easier. Had the time of my life smoking Cuban cigars and sipping on whiskey sours at wet bar inside of the jacuzzi on the roof with a steady flow of premium girls. This hotel has it all. If there was a hotel like this in pattaya for a similar rate that I paid I would move in for 6 months easy. The only downside is that after you spend a couple weeks here, man -

This is going to be a big ask, but if anyone can help, recommend somewhere which fits this criteria. I'm planning to come in November, 2 to 3 weeks and I'll have to be very careful with money, so I need to stay somewhere reasonably inexpensive, eg. 1. Max. price, on average, 500 a night/day and preferably lower, for instance, £10 gbp a day or 420 baht, even less would be great. 2. Within range of the centre - I'm not too clear on this, but if there's a circle/radius from Mikes Mall to Big C and round that's my distance. Let's say any distance from Mike's of a 2 mile radius. 3rd road

Hey guys. My bus will be pulling in to Morchit about 10 hours before my flight out of swampy. I would like to check into a day room. Any thoughts on hotels between Morchit & swamp? Cheap is the goal in this case. I could ask the cab, but that would probably end up with him getting a kick back and me getting a bad hotel.

Buriram hotel recommendation
SlowlyMan posted a topic in Hotels & Accommodations in other areas of Thailand
If you find yourself in Buri Ram. I suggest the Jintana Resort http://www.jintanaresort.com/ The staff was super great. The contact number will connect you with the owner's son's cell, who speaks fluent English. He called me the day I was traveling to make sure of my arrival time. And in true Thai fashion then gave my room away to a walk up. He appologized all over himself and blamed it on his staff. But they took good care of me that night, upgrading me at the rate I had booked. The pics on their site are accurate. I found the standard Villa to be the best value. at B 500 / nt. -
Any recent stays in Rabbi's Elephant Hotel?
fusionx posted a topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Pattaya
The last posts about this hotel were from 2007. There were some complaints about slow internet, and some guy that was kind of rude. A guest, not staff. Other than that, it seems like a great value. Has anyone stayed there recently who wouldn't mind offering their review? -
Hi. I had the pleasure of using this hotel/hostel for a few nights when I visited Bangkok. http://www.takeanaphotel.com/ The receptionists could benfit of speaking/understanding a little more english, but they were al both kind and helpfull. We just used this hotel for a few nights, why it was not possible to negotiate a better price for the rooms. But as we didn't have any reservations and we found the prices fairly low we took the chance. The rooms are very decent with a big bed, nice AC, safe, TV and a nice bathroom. One big issue is that the WiFi is not stabil, it turns on and off
