  1. I flel in love with ABC from the moment they gave me a free tequila shot upon check in to sad moment of checking out 2 weeks later. ABC is also a Favorite of the girls. When they find out you are staying there, things get much easier. Had the time of my life smoking Cuban cigars and sipping on whiskey sours at wet bar inside of the jacuzzi on the roof with a steady flow of premium girls. This hotel has it all. If there was a hotel like this in pattaya for a similar rate that I paid I would move in for 6 months easy. The only downside is that after you spend a couple weeks here, many places seem to fall short.

Which hotel is best to stay at with a spa bath?
  3. I have been to Pattaya many times, mostly on holiday. I am looking to start spending a week here and there working out of my hotel by day and enjoying my favorite city in the world by night. To do this I need to have decent bandwidth that is as solid as possible. I need to be on video conferences and connecting to various online services for work all day. It has always been best practice for me to stay in condos because I have my own dedicated internet connection. For that reason I have made VT6 my home away from home. I have good luck with VT6 but an wondering if there is something better. Perhaps another condo or even a hotel with reliable internet. Not even sure the latter exists in the world. Any thoughts on places would be welcome. I like to stay on the Walking Street side of Central and not too far from LK Metro. I have tried the condos behind Centara across from Travelers and been disappointed by the thinnest possible towels known to man and pretty much uncaring host. I looked at the Base but thought the time it took me to get from the room to second road was excessive. I mean VT6 takes some effort but the Base. Damn! Wish they had a back door exit to LK Metro. My budget tops out at 2k bht per night which i think is generous. And I like to stay in super clean and nice places. Maybe VT 6 is the best? It likely is for me. But I thought I would see if the grand masters of Pattaya have some thoughts on places I simply haven't considered. Thanks in advance.
  4. Hey gang, just pre-booked (don't have to pay til August) at The Classroom Hotel for 21 days in August. I have read mainly good reviews of the place, but a handful of bad ones too (aren't there always??) Has anyone from the forum stayed there, and can you give me a bit of a run-down of your time there? Cheers!!!

  6. This is going to be a big ask, but if anyone can help, recommend somewhere which fits this criteria. I'm planning to come in November, 2 to 3 weeks and I'll have to be very careful with money, so I need to stay somewhere reasonably inexpensive, eg. 1. Max. price, on average, 500 a night/day and preferably lower, for instance, £10 gbp a day or 420 baht, even less would be great. 2. Within range of the centre - I'm not too clear on this, but if there's a circle/radius from Mikes Mall to Big C and round that's my distance. Let's say any distance from Mike's of a 2 mile radius. 3rd road area is fine., but I don't like Jomtien. 3. Room with good internet connection, not off/on like I've had before, decent shower (again water consistent and not off/on like I've had before) and safe in room, with a balcony preferably. Big TV in room. 4. Facilities in room - I'd like to be able to make real coffee and some simple meals - microwave, kettle, sink - so minimalist kitchen - this will cut down on some costs. 5. Peace - finally I don't want somewhere just above or near a bar or even in a noisy area. I've had this before and it's a nightmare for me. I want to be able to sleep daytime sometimes and even be in bed by 11 pm occasionally and get to sleep. Am I asking too much? Any suggestions anyone?
  7. Has anyone stayed at the Rajah Hotel, Soi nana recently? I'll be staying there for a couple of nights soon and wanted some recent reviews of the hotel. Thanks.

    Best Choice.

I'm currently doing hotel research for my stay next month. I have always stayed near WS and I've decided to find a different hotel. Here is the problem, I can't decide which one I like the best! I've narrowed it down to the last few choices, but would love some input. A little bit of help from the forum would be appreciated. So, what do you all think? Where should I stay and why?

  11. Hi After a great holiday in and arround Pattaya I just wanted to make some compliments for the Pattaya Bay Resort - http://pattayabayresort.com. We arrived arround noon with no reservations and just hoped that there would be rooms available for our little group. We were greated by 3 lovely ladies at the reception, whom spoke very understandable english. We were treated with a cool cloth towel and a nice cold fruit drink, just as they announce on their homepage. We had a little chat with them and got a great price for our 14 day stay at the Hotel. 5 minutes later we had paid for our rooms and was on our way to the rooms. The rooms had a nice big bed, wonderfull AC, realsize fridge, big TV, safe, balkony and a very nice bathroom - just as descriped on the homepage. The rest of the hotel (Resturant, Fitness center, swimming pool, laundry service, business center & reading lounge) were also exactly as descriped or even better. Even more important the WiFi worked perfectly all over the hotel, all the way from the reception to the poolside. The hotel i placed in a nice walking distance from both 2nd road and Walking Street. But the Hotel also offers a free TukTuk service - just ask the nice receptionists. Furthermore they were also very helpfull with planning our holiday, just ask them a question and then they do almost everything to help you. I cannot compliment the good service at the hotel enough. The hotel is furthermore girlfriendly and they have the additional service to call and check if everything is ok when your guest leaves. Your guest can also have breakfest with you, just ask for an additional breakfast ticket. There are 5 options (different eggs) on the prepaid breakfast menu, but you can spice up the breakfast with the excellent menu from the resturant (also including poolside snacks and dinner). All in all a great experience, and I know where I will be staying when I return to Pattaya. Best regards PatNewb
  12. Hey Guys. Last time I was at the Irish Clock A new hotel was going up next door. Anybody know if it is finished and if so contact info? Thanks
  13. My Sister is coming over next year for the first time to visit with her family. Not seen her in many years. Unfortunately due to school holidays and work commitments she can only come the end of October, which is the normally wettest time of year. I have warned her but she insists. I am looking for a family style hotel/resort, reasonably priced that is not far from Jomtien or Nakula beach (preferably walking distance) with activities for young kids (ages 4 and 7) during the day as I am sure it will be raining a lot. Not even sure if such a place exists in Pattaya? LOL I was think possibly the Thai Garden Resort, I have never been there but will check it out this week but I would welcome any suggestions. Thanks in advance.
  14. Hi all, realized there is only 1 post of Phi Phi so thought i start a new one. I'll keep updating this in times to come cause i just love the place a lot and i do plan on sort of resort/hotel hooping in Phi Phi, by the way heres the first resort i stayed at. The first place I ever stayed in Phi Phi, was the best time i ever have(non gogo bar moments). Picked this resort by luck on the internet and love it. Called Mama's Beach Residence, about a 10 minute walk from the pier, a really quite place and new. The one reason i acutally picked this place was because of it's sort of outdoor bathoom, no window just open air. Was hoping to use the bathroom with some girls but sadly haven't achieve that yet but hopefully soon. http://www.mama-beach.com/ The resort The view from balcony If the room was one floor down, curtain open and hot chick... you get my point The View from the bathroom
  15. Hey guys, It would appear I will spending a few days in Buri Ram. That is a new area for me. Any suggestions on a hotel sub 1,000 / night would be great. Thanks
  16. Hi. I have met a very sweet girl on www.Thailand-Singles.com and now i am going to meet her in pattaya. Can you recommend a cheap hotel in pattaya near sukhumvit road that can impress my date ? i have heard about a hotel in soi 8 namedsunshine hotel, the prise should be about 1200 baht. Does anyone know that hotel ? By the way, i think you should try out www.Thailand-Singles.com it’s a great thai dating site, its very easy to use, its cheap and the ladys on the site is very cute and kind. Thanks thainoe
  17. Hey guys. My bus will be pulling in to Morchit about 10 hours before my flight out of swampy. I would like to check into a day room. Any thoughts on hotels between Morchit & swamp? Cheap is the goal in this case. I could ask the cab, but that would probably end up with him getting a kick back and me getting a bad hotel.
  18. If you find yourself in Buri Ram. I suggest the Jintana Resort http://www.jintanaresort.com/ The staff was super great. The contact number will connect you with the owner's son's cell, who speaks fluent English. He called me the day I was traveling to make sure of my arrival time. And in true Thai fashion then gave my room away to a walk up. He appologized all over himself and blamed it on his staff. But they took good care of me that night, upgrading me at the rate I had booked. The pics on their site are accurate. I found the standard Villa to be the best value. at B 500 / nt. The place is functionally clean but far from the way you would keep your own home. The only real negative is that the place is built to the Thai standard. I can't tell you how many times I banged my head on the door threshold. While I was in town we had a some really hot days. The AC was not up to the task. The kid admitted the units are undersized but are usually adequate for their Thai guests. While we were out he had his staff move our stuff to a room with the newest AC unit, which worked fine for us. A side from the owners kid, English is not spoken here. It seems to be primarily a Thai place. The Gik really liked it. She did laundry in the bathroom which is apparently set up for such things. They even have racks outside for drying. One day it rained while we were away, The cleaner came and grabbed the clothes, folded them, and put them in the room. Like I said, a really top drawer staff. They offer food to order. Not really a restaraunt as such, but they will make you food if you ask. I think most Farang would be happy staying here. And more importantly, Your girlfriend will be happy. If you haven't been to Buirram, I found it to be a friendly, relaxed town. I got a lot of stares, which tells me there are not a lot of Ex-pats. Or maybe they just don't go out when it's a million degrees out. Or maybe I'm just a handsome Farang. (no, that only happens in Pattaya)
  19. The last posts about this hotel were from 2007. There were some complaints about slow internet, and some guy that was kind of rude. A guest, not staff. Other than that, it seems like a great value. Has anyone stayed there recently who wouldn't mind offering their review?
  20. Hi. I had the pleasure of using this hotel/hostel for a few nights when I visited Bangkok. http://www.takeanaphotel.com/ The receptionists could benfit of speaking/understanding a little more english, but they were al both kind and helpfull. We just used this hotel for a few nights, why it was not possible to negotiate a better price for the rooms. But as we didn't have any reservations and we found the prices fairly low we took the chance. The rooms are very decent with a big bed, nice AC, safe, TV and a nice bathroom. One big issue is that the WiFi is not stabil, it turns on and off all the time. Also the breakfast is a bit boring. On the positive side the hotel is very close the the Phat Pong area and the hotel is girlfriendly. So all in all it was an OK experience with acceptable prices. Best regards PatNewb
  21. Has anyone got any info on this hotel? It is on second road close to soi Skaew beach opposite bar complex.
