Body of newborn child found in wasteland close to Pattaya

The decomposing body of a newborn baby was found at an area of wasteland in the Na-Jomtien area on Wednesday afternoon. Police and rescue services were called to the area of land close to the Sukhumvit Road after a dog uncovered the body of the child, which was seen by nearby construction workers. The umbilical cord was still attached to the child and it was estimated he had been dead for at least 48 hours. Police have appealed for the mother of the child to come forward as she will need medical attention.
