East Pattaya Restaurant Owner opens fire on three suspected thieves

The owner of a Thai Restaurant in East Pattaya shot at three suspected thieves in the early hours of Wednesday following three days of incidents where items had been stolen from his shop, apparently by the same three men. The shop owner, Khun Suchart aged 59 called in the Police after he was awoken by the three men who were allegedly making an attempt to steal three bottles of coke from his restaurant which had closed some hours earlier. This was the third night the men had allegedly stolen items from the restaurant and the owner had seen enough and came downstairs to the restaurant with his gun which is registered. The three men fled and as they did Khun Suchart admits to firing in their direction although nobody appeared to have been injured. Police are now hunting for the three men and are questioning Khun Suchart and others to ensure the use of the firearm was in accordance with his license conditions.
