Meanwhile in Europe

Chaos Descends over Germany Sunday, September 27, 2015 22:00   This is from a retired RAF officer who served in the sixties and is now working and living in Germany.   "Dear Friends,   Europe is now in total chaos and I think that you should know about it.   I have waited a week or so to see how things will develop and to glean more information before presenting the facts.   As you may know from the media, the flood of refugees cum economic immigrants into Europe has reached ridiculous pro

An explanation and apology if it's required.

I had one of my friends here contact me via PM, not to chastise but to comment on the "vigorous" banter between myself and NixonsBest.   It did make me think about why the uninitiated (for the want of a better term) so easily misunderstand blokes like me, so I thought it only right to offer an apology and something of an explanation.   It's hard for veterans to re-assimilate back into society, we surface from being submerged deep within an alien lifestyle and culture really, and for good or b

PRICES IN THAILAND vs IMPORT DUTIES vs EBAY

Throughout my 13 years in Pattaya I am still amazed at the hideous prices on items. I never have, and probably never will, figure out how prices of everything in a country with ten dollar a day labor can be five times what they are in the US. I have been purchasing many items on ebay lately where they add the import tariffs at shipping and I pay one price with no hassle. I have learned that the import tariffs are only twenty to fifty percent depending on the item and shipping is reasonable.

Older Mongers and their Nappies

I wonder if there's been any consideration given to the future requirement for Nappy changing and disposal services in Pattaya for our older Mongerers as time goes on. It could be a "growth industry" in LoS and certainly one a little less intrusive for the working TG's. I can see the day when we older addicts are sharing details about where the best amd most sensitive disposable gloves are available....both for clean-up purposes and finger fondling etc.....

THAILAND VISA

Many of us go to a certain place or country without knowledge on how to stay longer. They experienced fun, love and enjoyment but they don't know how to stay there longer. We are here to give you information or knowledge and help you to obtain your wants and needs. Most of a tourist number one problem is visa. Visa that serves a key for them to stay longer in Thailand and other places. And almost all of them know they need visa but how to get it, fits for them and what are the requirements neede

Import duty on Tv for the house

Hi all Does anyone one know if there is a duty to be paid on electricals, namely televisions. Im moving my furniture over next month and want to know if its better to bring my own. Ive looked in the shops around Patts, and the small ones are as cheap there as they are here. But the bigger 60" ones are way more expensive. Thanks for any info at all.

Long term stay in Thailand ...

Does anyone know or discover the means to staying long term (like 3 to 6 months) without going through all those visa runs, applying for visas (e.g. marriage, retirement, etc)? Right now I heard they've changed the rules to 30 days stay and then exit and return for another 30 perpetually. But that is tedious and tiring especially for retirees who couldn't (or don't want to) meet their requirements for retirement visa. If you know a way, then big rewards for you ...

The origins of our PA names

Chatting with a fellow PA member here, I took the effort to explain where my PA nickname came from; what about the rest of you ? The "Captain Courageous" label came from a nickname I was given when we were on exchange with the Canadian Army; we were doing a Mountaineering course at the time up at Banf and I'd wandered out to the distant portable Toilet building to empty my bowels. I was later told that while I was seated doing the job a full grown black Bear came out of the woods and sta

Looking for Fun

My Wife and I are going to Pattaya in September this year. My wife is bi sexual and we also, apart from sightseeing, meet with the local ladies for some sexual threesome fun. Any suggestions or dos and donts would be much appreciated. Kind Regards

Veterans Bar ?

I've met a couple of Vets on the PA forums here and one of them asked me if there were any regular Bars used a meeting places in Patts. Does anyone know of such a place ? If not, are any of you Vets from anywhere interested in nominating such a Bar ? Not that I'm proposing a splinter group in any way. Raise your hands all those who've served please.

Pattaya Friday the 13th

Well I have a blog here it seems! Cool. This will probably be more like notes-to-self than anything else. We'll see. So I made a trip to Pattaya this afternoon. What was the best thing that happened? Hm. Definitely the 6-incher I got to taste with all spices. (There's a Subway on 2nd Rd not far from North Pattaya Rd.) Well let's start from the beginning. I wanted to see a massage lady again at Blue massage on Soi 3 but she obviously "went back home" and is not working there anymore.

bank charges

I will be coming to Pattaya soon for a 3 month stay and was wondering what the best way to avoid paying all the bank charges that come with lifting your money from an atm with a UK account. I will only have a holiday visa and am led to believe that i can not open a thai bank account without a work permit, any advice would be appreciated

Educating our Young.

I'm a 62 year old father of a 30 year old Son, and Grandfather of a 12 year old boy, and it's always seemed to me that most males somehow learn about sex in a rather clumsy haphazard fashion. I was fortunate enough to have my first experience with an older and skilled woman, and I've always felt damned lucky for it all. My 30 year old Son is an intelligent and sociable person but like so many of us here totally disallusioned with the complexities of western women; my 12 year old grandson
